Step 1

Schedule a Discovery Call

First, we’ll hop on a discovery call for us to get to know each other. Here, we’ll learn more about your exact needs, to make sure we’re the best fit for each other. We’ll also typically you a preliminary questionnaire. These calls typically last 30 to 45 minutes. On the call we’ll go over what you’re looking for, pricing, session logistics, as well as answer any questions you have.

Step 2

Make it Official

If we each decide we’d be a good fit, we’ll send a meeting invitation for your first session based on what we discussed on the call. You'll also receive a questionnaire and contract.

For Family Clients — If there are any additional family members who need to be included, this is when we’ll schedule intake calls with them as well, prior to the first session.

Step 3

First Sessions & Discovery Phase

Your first session will primarily focus on intake and assessment. During this session, we typically cover:

  • Current business state and desired goals

  • Family and business history (if applicable)

  • Any critical factors impacting operations

Depending on what brings you to SCHEMA, some intake processes take longer than others. At the end of this session, we'll advise on what the following structure of our engagements is likely to look like.

  • We may recommend working with specific parties, a dyad, triad, or entire group.

  • We’ll map out what is feasible from a scheduling perspective

  • We’ll gauge who is able/willing to participate

Step 4

Engagement

Once we’ve gotten through much of Discovery Phase, we’ll provide a clearer recommendation of next steps according to your given pain points. This process is highly tailored to each client, as every family (and every business) is unique.

  • Some require more relational facilitation whereas other need operational structure

  • Some need organizational design, and some just need soundboarding

  • Some need a referee/mediator, and some need a coach

  • Some need a detailed action plan with roles and responsibilities clearly outlined, and some just need help getting everyone to buy-in to the existing plan.

This scope is 100% tailored to your specific needs.

The format typically involves an amalgamation of the following:

  • Individual meetings

  • Family meetings (if applicable)

  • Group meetings (specific cohorts/dyads/triads within an organization)

  • Meetings with key personnel (if relevant)

  • Targeted workshops

  • Dedicated staff time (where we build or work on deliverables for you, outside of meeting-times)

  • Team retreats
